ALLMAX NUTRITION NEW ESSENTIALS LINE TAURINE!

ALLMAX NUTRITION TAURINE HITS BODYBUILDING.COM
READ ON FOR YOUR CHANCE TO WIN!
As part of our continuing effort to bring top-quality supplements to the fitness community at the most reasonable prices, ALLMAX NUTRITION is proud to introduce its latest addition to the ESSENTIALS line - Taurine.
Like every other product in our catalog, Taurine is sourced from only the highest-grade ingredients and rigorously tested for purity and quality.
If you're not familiar with Taurine, now is a great time to learn about it. Taurine is an amino acid that is considered to be conditionally essential; it is produced by the body, but during demanding bouts of physical exercise, the body cannot supply enough to meet muscular demands. In these situations, supplementation of Taurine is required, producing a variety of significant effects:
Improving Mental Focus:
TAURINE acts as a metabolic transmitter and is important for brain metabolism. It stabilizes the heartbeat as it is an inhibitory neurotransmitter; which helps to improve focus during training. It may also help to stabilize the cell membranes in the brain and heart.
Regulating Mineral Balance:
TAURINE regulates water and mineral salts in the blood. It maintains movement of potassium, magnesium and sodium across the cell membranes and regulates ion balance between cells. Due to its ability to regulate electrolytes it may play a role in preventing muscle cramping. TAURINE also plays a role in muscle contraction, where it enhances the ability of the muscles to generate force by increasing the uptake and release of calcium ions.
Cell Volumization Similar to Creatine:
TAURINE draws water in muscle cells and acts as a cell volumizer; this in turn draws additional nutrients for recovery and growth; increasing cell volume and enhancing muscle fullness.
TAURINE plays a role in Nitric oxide production (NO gas present during muscle contraction and blood vessel dilation). This mechanism may enhance the workout session and lead to a more rigorous workout.
Improving Body Composition:
A clinical trial in which overweight and obese men were given 3g of TAURINE a day for 7 weeks experienced a significant reduction in serum fatty acid levels, and overall reduction in bodyweight. It was hypothesized that TAURINE may enhance fat metabolism by aiding in the proper functioning of the digestive system. TAURINE is a key ingredient in bile (it was actually originally named Latin taurus, which means bull or ox, as it was first isolated from ox bile) and is required for fat digestion.
In a study conducted on the link between TAURINE deficiency and obesity in mice1, the researchers found that an increase in TAURINE in the body led to a greater rate of energy usage and reduction in the build up of fat. This study could lead to promising new research on TAURINE’s ability to play a role in the prevention of obesity.
A study posted in FASEB found several exercise-related benefits of TAURINE. Specifically, severe restriction of TAURINE reduced mobility of skeletal muscle, while supplementation improved skeletal functions and provided an energizing effect.2
And if you think Taurine couldn't get any better, you're wrong. ALLMAX NUTRITION is currently a giveaway on the Bodybuilding.com forums to celebrate Taurine's release. Check it out here, and good luck: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=119863421

Hitting The Bottle To Boost Testosterone
Written by Brian Willett
If the already extensive yet ever-increasing body of articles scattered across the internet did not tip you off; allow me to let you in on a little secret: nutrition is a complicated subject. As the obesity epidemic suggests, there is a large portion of the population that hasn't quite figured out what the optimal amount of energy intake is. But the issues run so much deeper than that - mere level of caloric consumption is just scratching the surface of the nutritional realm. There are countless other factors constantly being debated - proper ratios of macronutrients, adequate levels of micronutrients, efficacy of antioxidants, meal timing...the list goes on and on. And it's not just the average citizen that has trouble figuring these things out. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is constantly revising their recommendations for dietary intake, as evidenced by the transformation of the traditional Food Pyramid into the more recent "My Pyramid."
Recently, one of the more popular dietary trends, occurring quite often in the world of fitness and sports, is adherence to a low-fat diet. Whether it is because of the caloric density (nine calories per gram) or the fact that the macronutrient shares its name with a body composition no one desires, fat is often villainized as a source of obesity and some suggest avoiding it as much as possible. However, fat plays a very important role in many bodily functions. And because different fats have different properties, it is important to consume a variety of sources.
In fact, new advantages to fat consumption are being discovered all the time. One recent study, published this year in the journal Lipids, found some potent benefits to be reaped from olive oil. The study compared isocaloric diets that differed in only one respect - the fat source. After 60 days on this diet, the researchers found that those consuming olive oil had significantly higher levels of testosterone than the others. In addition, the results showed that the olive oil use allowed cells to absorb more cholesterol and convert that cholesterol into testosterone more easily (1).
As you probably know, testosterone is a hormone that is a vital part of the muscle-building process, and it can also boost energy levels. For this reason, adding some olive oil to one's diet is a great idea, especially for athletes. And the benefit is greater for anyone specifically attempting to gain muscle mass - because olive oil can easily be added to many foods and is calorie dense, it will help achieve the caloric surplus necessary for growth.
But olive oil isn't the only way to boost testosterone. Other fatty acids, such as those found in ALLMAX MUSCLE MAXX, can contribute to higher testosterone levels and lean mass gains. Additionally, for a more direct route, ALLMAX TestoFX boasts five stages of Testosterone optimization while minimizing negative androgenic and estrogenic side effects.
Whichever source you do choose, increasing testosterone levels is a great way to add strength and size to your frame.
